Monday Morning Updates

I hope that everybody enjoyed the wonderful weather on Sunday! Looks like today may be another nice one for us to enjoy!

Weekly homework and word wall words are now posted. Previous homework that has been handed in will be sent back some sometime this week.

On Friday we had some special visitors at our school and they visited our class as we worked on our 3D Robot projects. The visitors were very impressed with everybody's creations, and students did a great job answering any questions they had! Great job!

On Friday we also did our weekly math centers where we got to practice our Math concept in fun ways. Here are just a few examples of what we did last week:

Students were given 3D shapes, a whiteboard and some markers and were left to come up with their own fun at this center. The students amazed me with the many different things they did! Some experiments with stacking, rolling, and sliding experiments, some drew and labels the 3D shapes, and others build structures with them. Great job!

2D shape logic puzzles. Can you fill in the shape using the 2D shapes?

Challenge: How many different ways can you make a hexagon?

I am looking forward to another fun week full of learning opportunities!
