We had a wonderful (and busy!) day today in class. We have started our measurement unit in Math and students have been working on a pretty neat project. Last week they drew outlines of their bodies on large pieces of paper, and today we began measuring how tall everybody was! We focused today on non-standard ways to measure and students were able to come up with many different ways we can measure our height (i.e. using cubes, markers, straws, etc..). Students had lots of fun doing this!
We also had a wonderful afternoon meeting with Ms. Victoria from Divine Infant church! She came over to help prepare our students for their upcoming First Communions this weekend. Students even got to practice receiving the host. I can't wait to see everybody who will be celebrating their first communion on Saturday!
